When the drinking of tea became popular in Britain it brought about design changes in furniture. As it was usually enjoyed at certain times of the day, a table that could be brought out and tipped to its in use position came greatly into fashion..

Our large and medium round top tables follow this same fashion; however, in the design of the American way. True to the enjoyment of good craft, the tops are from a single board joined in the center and turned by hand from the rough on our wonderful old belt driven lathe. The birdcage at the top of the column allows the top to revolve when in use.

But please don't overlook another of our favorites---our Sunburst table. The design of this table is truly American. The top is of solid one board mahogany (or in our tiger maple version) and the rays are of design matched cypress. These are carefully inlayed into the top for total contrast and effect. The legs are correctly hand dovetailed into the column. Again beautiful design and utility matched so well together.
